The upcoming Japanese action fantasy adventure streaming television series, Yu Yu Hakusho, is being developed by Akira Morii and Kazutaka Sakamoto for Netflix. This live-action adaptation is based on Yoshihiro Togashi’s 1990–94 manga series of the same name and is produced by Robot Communications. The cast includes Takumi Kitamura, Shuhei Uesugi, Jun Shison, and Kanata Hongō.

Yu Yu Hakusho is set to premiere on December 14, 2023 on Netflix. Announced on December 16, 2020, the Japanese live-action adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho is set to stream globally on Netflix. Executive producer Kazutaka Sakamoto, along with producer Akira Morii from Robot, spearheads the production. Notably, Shō Tsukikawa is confirmed as the series director, Tatsurō Mishima is handling the script, and Ryō Sakaguchi takes on the role of VFX supervisor, as reported on July 15, 2022.
