World Book Day, also known as World Book and Copyright Day, is celebrated on April 23 every year across the globe in order to recognize the importance and promote the benefits of reading books, publishing, and copyrighting. Every year United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) organize the celebration of World Book Day, and this year World Book Day completed its silver jubilee, that is, the 25th edition.

That is a great initiative from UNESCO because as we all know book covers are incredibly important and play a major role for us when it comes to buying a book. There is a reason for celebrating World Book Day on April 23 every year. Many famous authors were either born or have died on this day, now you can call this a coincidence or magical. Like, William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Josep Pla died on this day, whereas, Manuel Mejia Vallejo and Maurice Druon were born on the same day, that is, April 23.
