It depicts the life of Ludovic, a police captain in the French city of Brest, who discovers that the victim resembles his late wife Melanie while investigating a crime in a reconstructed VR crime scene. He later discovers, however, that it is a time warp through which he can communicate with her days before her death.
Ludovic concludes that the drowned women’s deaths and Melanie’s deaths are linked in some way, and so he embarks on his quest to solve the mystery surrounding his wife’s death, which occurred almost 27 years ago. While Melanie and Ludovic collaborate to find the murderer and change the events of the past, little to their knowledge, their actions cause unpredictable butterfly effects in the present.
