Varisu has taken a substantial lead of about Rs 25 Crores in box office collection over Thunivu. Both Tamil films were released in the theatres on 11th January 2023, and the box office battle between Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu and Thala Ajith’s Thunivu is heating up.

Currently, Varisu has taken the lead over Thunivu at the box office in the first 6 days. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer has already crossed the mark of Rs 100 Crores at the box office in India, while Thunivu is yet to reach the landmark.

Varisu collected Rs 15 Crores at the box office on the 6th day, while Thunivu managed to earn Rs 10 Crores on the 6th day of its release. Both the movies have a similar occupancy rate of about 67% in Tamil Nadu, but Varisu has more shows than Thunivu all over India, and that is working wonderfully in favour of the Thalapathy Vijay starrer. Thunivu has reached Rs 77.40 Crores at the box office, while Varisu has already collected Rs 102.25 Crores at the box office. Varisu is the clear winner at the box office right now.
