Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, has announced that the blue tick or the verification badge on Twitter will now start to cost US $8 Per Month. Musk confirmed the news via his official Twitter handle and let everyone know whether they complained or not, they would certainly have to pay the US $8 per month, which roughly translates to 662 Rupees.

Elon Musk Tweeted, “Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit. Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.” He further added, “And paywall bypass for publishers willing to work with us and This will also give Twitter a revenue stream to reward content creators.”
The decision has received mixed reviews from the people, and the social media community is divided over the issue. While some people have praised the vision of Elon Musk, others are terming it Elon’s autocracy on a social media platform that millions across the globe use regularly.
