Starting January 1, 2025, Thailand will introduce an Electronic Visa (e-Visa) system for Indian citizens, simplifying the process of applying for all visa types online. The Thai Embassy in New Delhi shared the update, outlining key features and benefits of the new system.

The e-Visa system will enable applicants to submit visa applications individually or through a representative via the official website, thaievisa.go.th. However, the embassy clarified it will not take responsibility for incomplete applications submitted by representatives.

Transition Timeline
- Applications for ordinary passports under the current system will be accepted until December 16, 2024, at designated visa processing companies.
- Diplomatic and official passport applications will be accepted until December 24, 2024.
60-Day Visa Exemption Continues
Indian passport holders will continue to enjoy the 60-day visa exemption for tourism and short business trips, with no changes announced.
