Akshay Kumar and debutant Veer Pahariya’s Sky Force is on track to become the first Bollywood film of 2025 to cross the ₹100 crore mark at the domestic box office. The film is expected to achieve this milestone by its second weekend. After a strong start over the Republic Day weekend, Sky Force has maintained steady collections during weekdays, consistently earning between ₹5-6 crore. Even on Thursday, the film registered decent numbers, setting the stage for a successful second weekend.

Sky Force Nears ₹100 Crore Mark in Its First Week

Globally, Sky Force has already surpassed the ₹100 crore milestone. At the Indian box office, the film is inching closer to the same feat. On its seventh day, Sky Force collected ₹5.50 crore, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹86.50 crore in just one week.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor’s action thriller Deva is releasing this Friday. The film has had a slow start in advance bookings, earning just over ₹1.10 crore in pre-sales. However, if positive word-of-mouth spreads, its audience could grow in the coming days. Sky Force, already performing well, may present tough competition for Deva during its opening weekend.

What is Sky Force About?

According to the makers, Sky Force tells the untold story of India’s first and most lethal airstrike. Co-directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, the film marks Veer Pahariya’s acting debut. The story follows IAF officer T Vijaya (played by Veer), who goes missing in action during the 1965 India-Pakistan War. Akshay Kumar plays KO Ahuja, his fellow IAF officer, who embarks on a daring mission to find Vijaya. The film also stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in key roles.

With its gripping storyline and strong box office performance, Sky Force is set to be one of the biggest Bollywood hits of early 2025.
