Aparna Popat

Aparna Popat was one of the best female badminton players in India. She was also the national champion and won all the seniors championships from 1997 to 2006. 

She won her last seniors nationals title when she was 27 years old, after beating Sania Nehwal who was just 15 years old at the time.

Ashwini Ponnappa

Ashwini Ponnappa is among those badminton players that had represented India in both singles and mixed doubles games. All of which are in the international competitions. 

She along with Jwala Gutta won many medals in the international competitions. The pair had also won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games.

The next Indian female badminton player on this list is Jwala Gutta. This exceptional player has won over 316 matches, which has been the highest of any Indian player.
