Pushpa 2 Day 1 Box Office: Allu Arjun-Rashmika Film to Gross Over Rs 250 Crore

Pushpa: The Rule has finally hit theatres, with premiere shows of the Allu Arjun-Rashmika Mandanna starrer taking place on Wednesday night in select cities, followed by early morning screenings at 4:30 am on Thursday.

The Telangana government allowed special shows, with tickets priced as high as Rs 800 for the first screening. As of 10 am on Thursday, the film had earned Rs 28.94 crore across all languages, according to Sacnilk.

The film saw excellent advance bookings, with nearly 32 lakh tickets sold for about 32,000 shows across India, according to Sacnilk. BookMyShow reported over 3 million tickets sold by Thursday.

In Hyderabad, many shows are already sold out, while Delhi-NCR screenings, especially in the evening, are filling up quickly. Users also reported issues with BookMyShow crashing during bookings, although the platform hasn’t commented on this.

Pushpa: The Rule is releasing in over 12,000 screens worldwide. The sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise has been critically acclaimed, with Allu Arjun winning his first National Award for the previous film. Alongside Arjun and Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil stars in a pivotal role.

Trade experts predict the film will gross over Rs 250 crore globally on its release day, including special shows. The film, with a runtime of three hours and twenty minutes, is made on a budget of Rs 400 crore and is available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam.
