Allu Arjun’s action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule has seen a significant drop in its box office collections, particularly on its seventh Monday. On January 20, the film earned only ₹0.65 crore, marking a decline of more than 50% from the previous day.
The sequel to Pushpa: The Rise had a record-breaking start, surpassing films like RRR and Dangal. However, despite its strong opening, the film’s earnings have slowed down. Since its release in December, Pushpa 2 has set multiple records and even outperformed Baahubali 2 in domestic earnings. Here’s how the two films compare in terms of collections and budget:

Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection – Day 47
On January 20, Pushpa 2 earned ₹65 lakh, a steep fall from the ₹1.5 crore it collected on Sunday. The decline suggests that the extended version released on January 17 did not generate much interest among audiences.
Despite a brief rise in earnings to ₹1.18 crore on Sunday—including ₹34 lakh from the Telugu version and ₹1.15 crore from the Hindi version—the film’s momentum continues to slow. After 47 days in theatres, its total box office collection now stands at ₹1228.90 crore.
To attract more viewers, the filmmakers introduced an extended version featuring uncut scenes. However, it remains to be seen whether this move will revive the film’s performance in the coming days.
