Season’s First Dense Fog on Wednesday
Delhi experienced its first dense fog of the season on Wednesday, with visibility at IGI Airport dropping to zero at 8:30 AM. This significantly impacted roads and populated areas.
The dense fog affected daily life, causing difficulties for children going to school and adults commuting to their workplaces. Until 9:00 AM, vehicles were seen driving with their headlights on.
Improvement During the Day
According to the weather department, visibility slightly improved as the day progressed. By 9:30 AM, visibility at IGI Airport was 50 meters and 400 meters at Safdarjung. However, a combined layer of smog and haze persisted throughout the day.
