OnePlus Nord 2T 5G Smartphone Launched: Is it Worth Upgrading?

After numerous rumors, including unpacking videos and claims, the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G has officially been released worldwide. The device is the first T-numbered smartphone in the Nord family. Hence, it is a follow-up to previous year’s OnePlus Nord 2. The device features a punch-hole cutout on the top-left side. Along with an inbuilt fingerprint scanner for safety, and three camera lenses in two circular components. The back panel of the smartphone has a sleek matte finish with a polycarbonate framework.




The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G features a 6.43-inch touchscreen, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 4500mAh battery capacity, 80W SuperVOOC rapid charging capability. Moreover, the OxygenOS customized skin built on Android 12, a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 CPU, and a 50MP main camera system.

Price and availability information for the OnePlus Nord 2T

The OnePlus Nord 2T costs EUR 399 (about Rs 32,700) for the 8Gigabytes + 128GB version and EUR 499 (approximately Rs 40,900) for the 12Gigabytes + 256GB model. It will be available in Gray Shadow and Jade Fog color combinations and will be available for upgrade on May 24th. Additionally, with pre-orders beginning on May 19th on the OnePlus online webpage and Amazon.

Processor and Chipset Support:

The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset powers it, an improvement from the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset seen in the vanilla OnePlus Nord 2. The processor is supported by 8Gigabyte LPDDR4X internal memory with 128GB UFS 3.1 capacity. However, 12 Gigabytes LPDDR4X RAM with 256Gigabytes UFS 3.1 disk space that is not extensible further. The smartphone runs the OxygenOS 12 custom interface, which is based on Android 12. Two years of firmware upgrades and three years of security updates are included with the OnePlus Nord 2T.
