NEET (UG) 2021 to be held on September 12, 2021, Application Process to Begin from Tuesday Through NTA Websites

The latest news got aired everywhere that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG) is being conducted on September 12, 2021, and this will turn out to be a great relief for the students as they have gone through a lot because of the pandemic. Furthermore, without wasting more time students should start applying for online registrations as it will commence from 5 PM on July 13, 2021, said Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education announced on Monday.

This important decision came into action following a meeting with the senior ministry and National Testing Agency (NTA) officials. The number of cities where the examination will take place has been increased from 155 to 198 in order to ensure social distancing and to follow COVID-19 protocols. It is more likely expected that the examination centers will also be increased from the 3862 centers back in 2020.

“To ensure the safety of students, all the COVID-19 protocols will be followed and all the students will be provided face mask at the center before entering the examination center. Variable time slots during entry and exit of the candidates, contactless registration, proper sanitization of the center, seating with social distancing, etc. will take care of at the time of examination,” said the minister.

Due to the surge in the coronavirus pandemic this year too, NTA had to announce postponing the NEET UG 2021 examination until further notice. The exam was supposed to be held on August 1, 2021, but due to the surge in cases after the incoming of the second wave across the country, NEET UG 2021 has now been postponed to September.

According to recent reports, over 16 Lakh candidates are likely to take the pen-paper mode entrance test that will be conducted by NTA. In respect to the NEET 2021 syllabus, the Ministry of Education made it clear that the medical entrance examination will be held as per the syllabus determined by NTA irrespective of the reduction of the syllabus for the 2021 board exam syllabus.

A candidate has to go through five stages of the NEET 2021 application form – NEET registration; filling of application; uploading of documents including scanned photographs, mark sheets, and certificates; fee payment, and taking printout of the confirmation page.

Candidates will have access to the application form at ntaneet.nic.in starting from July 13, 2021, at 5 pm. Candidates have to follow these steps that have been mentioned below: –

Step 1: Open the official website, ntaneet.nic.in.

Step 2: Select the application form link when you land on the home page.

Step 3: Register using all the necessary credentials.

Step 4: Fill the form with all the documents.

Step 5: Pay the fee, submit, and take a printout of the confirmation page.
