Lok Sabha Election 2024 Schedule: The Election Commission announced the election dates in a press conference this afternoon. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that this time the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in 7 phases. He also told that all preparations for the elections have been completed as they were planning and managing it since last two years. Apart from this, strict security arrangements have been made at the polling booths.

Voting for Lok Sabha elections in Delhi will take place on May 25. Voting will take place in all seven phases in UP. Voting for Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held on 19 April, 26 April, 7 May and 13 May. Voting will be held in Chhattisgarh on 19 April, 26 April and the third phase on 7 May. Voting will take place in seven phases in Bengal. Voting for all 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat will be held in the third phase on May 7.

In the first phase (Lok Sabha Poll Dates), voting will be held on a total of 102 Lok Sabha seats in 21 states. Whereas, in the second phase, voting will be held on 89 seats of 13 states, in the third phase, voting will be held on 94 seats of 12 states, 96 seats of 10 states, 49 seats of 8 states, 57 seats of 7 states, 57 seats of 8 states.

Along with the general elections, assembly elections will also be held in 4 states (Vidhan Sabha Election dates). Elections will be held in Andhra Pradesh on 13 May. Voting in Sikkim and Arunachal on 19 April. Voting in Odisha will be held in 4 phases from May 13. By-elections will be held in 26 assemblies including Haryana, Himachal, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that there are 96.8 crore voters in the country and more than 10 lakh booths will be there for voting. Rajiv Kumar said that the whole world will have an eye on our country’s elections. He said that this time 1.8 crore voters will vote for the first time and there will be a total of 21.5 crore youth voters. The number of male voters is 49.7 crore.

Now parties will have to disclose the criminal record of their candidate. Along with this, it will also have to be explained why that candidate was given the ticket and why no other person from the area was given the ticket. This time voters above 85 years of age can vote from home. The Election Commissioner said that the number of women voters has increased. In many areas the number of women voters is more than men.

At the same time, this time there will be 85 lakh 85 lakh first time women voters. There will be a control room in every district. Election is a festival and pride of the country.
