Yesterday, the government extended the last date for linking Aadhaar Card with ration Card. As per the new guidelines, every ration cardholder should now link their Aadhar Card with their Ration Card till September 30, 2020.
The linking of the details experienced a sudden breakage as people were forced to go indoors. Also, the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution has issued public notice.Â
As per these norms, all states and union territories are ordered that no particular individual should be denied from their quota of staple food grains on the ground of not possessing an Aadhaar number.
This notice defines the new rules regarding a fair distribution all over the country. And this applies also on their ration cards which should not be canceled in the absence of the Aadhaar.
