Lady in the Lake is an upcoming American miniseries adapted from Laura Lippman’s novel of the same name.
Lady in the Lake Release Date
Filming started in April 2022, with production occurring in Baltimore. In late August 2022, filming was briefly halted due to purported threats of violence. However, a police investigation later found these threats to be unsubstantiated. The show is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ on July 19, 2024.

Lady in the Lake Plot
In 1960s Baltimore, an investigative journalist delves into an unsolved murder, clashing with a woman dedicated to advancing the city’s Black community’s agenda. The protagonist leaves her devoted husband and their spacious Pikesville home to pursue a career as a newspaper reporter. She becomes obsessed with solving the mysteries behind the killings of eleven-year-old Tessie Fine and a bartender named Cleo Sherwood.
