The Kashmir Files
The Kashmir Files, a controversial blockbuster that sparked many debates on the issue of Kashmiri pandits, is finally coming to OTT service, ZEE5, on 11th May 2022. The film was released theatrically in March 2022. It stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kapoor in the main roles.
KGF Chapter 2
KGF Chapter 2 is still running solidly in the cinema halls. The film shattered all the box office records for a Kannada film ever. It continues the much-awaited story of Rocky Bhai and his rise in the Kolar Gold Field after slaying Garuda. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj in prominent roles. It is speculated that it will drop on OTT by the end of this month. The streaming rights for the film are acquired by Amazon Prime Video.
RRR
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus proved that Tollywood is on equal footing to Bollywood in the Indian film industry. The movie received praises for its storyline, jaw-dropping action sequences and great casting. It stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR as two revolutionaries who went into oblivion and returned to fight against the British Raj. The film’s Hindi language rights are secured by Netflix, while Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam rights are with ZEE5. It is likely to be released on OTT on 20th May 2022.
Beast
Beast starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde created havoc at the box office with its release. The film became a commercial success in no amount of time. It follows the story of a troubled agent who gets embroiled in a terrorist attack in a mall. The film will be released by the end of this month on OTT platforms. Beast might stream on Netflix or SUNNXT.
Attack
John Abraham’s futuristic movie about a major who becomes unstoppable after scientifically implanting a chip inside him turned many heads with its interesting storyline. The movie did not do too well at the box office, but it still comes with a refreshing concept that might get the appreciation it deserves through an OTT release. Most definitely, it will drop on OTT by the end of May 2022.
