In March 2023, Amazon Studios announced the development of an action comedy film titled Grand Death Lotto. Directed by Paul Feig and written by Rob Yescombe, the film is produced by Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Feig, and Laura Fischer. John Cena, Zack Roth, and Yescombe serve as executive producers.
The main roles are filled by Cena, Awkwafina, and Simu Liu. Later in the month, Ayden Mayeri, Seann William Scott, Dolly de Leon, and Donald Elise Watkins joined the cast. Principal photography commenced in Atlanta by March 2023 under the working title Jackpot.

The film is slated for release on August 15, 2024, by Amazon MGM Studios via Prime Video.
