The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will commence the operation of the Bharat Gaurav Special Train on September 14. Named the Kolkata Ganga Sagar Yatra, this train will take devotees on a pilgrimage, visiting various temples. The journey will start from Agra Cantt station on September 14 and will include temple visits and tours until September 23.
Ajit Sinha, IRCTC’s Chief Regional Manager, announced that passengers on this train will visit several significant religious sites. These include the Baidyanath Temple in Jasidih, Vishnupad Temple in Gaya, Jagannath Temple and Konark Temple in Odisha, local temples in Puri, the Ganga Sagar pilgrimage site, Kali Temple in Kolkata, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, and the Shri Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya.

The train will be equipped with Sleeper, Third AC, and Second AC coaches, providing comfortable travel options for passengers. Accommodation in hotels will be arranged for travelers at various stops. This initiative by IRCTC aims to offer a comprehensive and spiritual journey for devotees, allowing them to explore and pay homage at some of India’s most revered temples and religious sites. The carefully curated itinerary ensures that passengers experience the cultural and spiritual richness of these destinations over the ten-day tour.
