Renault Cars, known for offering good value, has updated its entire car lineup. This includes the Renault Kwid, Renault Kiger, and Renault Triber. All these cars now come with new features, including some standard safety ones. Excitingly, Renault has launched an automatic transmission option for the lower RXL (O) variant of the Kwid, making it the cheapest automatic car in India. Let’s take a look at what Renault has added to the Kwid and the other models.
2024 Renault Kwid
The Renault Kwid, the smallest car in Renault’s range, comes with new features. The biggest update is the new RXL (O) AMT variant. Renault has seen the demand for automatic cars and has launched this variant to meet that need. Priced at Rs 6.06 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the Kwid RXL (O) AMT is now the most affordable automatic car in India, even cheaper than the Maruti Alto, which costs Rs 6.60 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Apart from this, the Kwid has some other upgrades to attract buyers. The Climber variants will only come in dual-tone colours. From the RXL (O) variant, the Kwid will feature an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation, making it the cheapest car to offer this feature. Additionally, the 2024 Kwid will have standard features like electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring, and rear seat belt reminder. The price of the 2024 Renault Kwid ranges from Rs 5.22 lakh to Rs 6.82 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The RXL (O), with the touchscreen navigation, is priced at Rs 5.56 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
2024 Renault Triber
The Renault Triber, known for its spacious interior and practicality, also gets some updates. The 2024 Triber now comes with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster from the Kiger, wireless phone charging, electrically folding mirrors, and a driver armrest. Renault has also introduced an AMT option with the lower RXT variant, making it the cheapest 7-seater automatic car in India. The 2024 Renault Triber is priced from Rs 6.67 lakh to Rs 9.74 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The RXT AMT costs Rs 9.05 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
2024 Renault Kiger
Lastly, the Renault Kiger, a compact SUV, gets new updates. The Kiger has always been known for its value for money, and now Renault has added more features. The 2024 Kiger comes with leatherette seats, a new steering wheel, cruise control on lower non-turbo variants, red brake callipers for turbo variants, and auto-folding mirrors. Renault has also launched two new variants for the Kiger – RXL Energy and RXT (O) Turbo. The Energy variant will offer both AMT and manual transmission options, while the Turbo variant will offer both CVT and manual transmission options.
