1- Shehnai

On 15th August 1947, the first day of independent India, the Hindi film ‘Shehnai’ was released. Shehnai created history with its release on the day of independence. This film of director PL Santoshi created a stir in terms of box office earnings at that time, due to which Shehnai proved to be the first hit film of independent India.

Veteran actors like Kishore Kumar, Nasir Khan, Indumati, Rehana and VH Desai were present in this film. Due to Kishore Da’s fans, the tickets of this film were sold in huge numbers and the film was at the top in terms of business. Kishore Kumar played the role of a police inspector in the 133-minute film Shehnai, based on the love story of four sisters, which was liked by the audience.
