Change in HDFC Bank Credit Card Rules

HDFC Bank is going to implement new rules for customers using credit cards from August 1. These changes will affect various transactions, including transactions made through third party apps for rent, education and utility bills.

From August 1, all rental transactions made using HDFC Bank credit cards with the help of third-party payment apps like CRED, PayTM, Cheq, MobiKwik and Freecharge will be charged 1 percent on the transaction amount. This charge will be limited to INR 3,000 per transaction.

Apart from this, 1 percent charge will also have to be paid on utility transactions of more than 50 thousand, fuel transactions of more than INR 15 thousand. Also, HDFC Bank is charging INR 50 for redeeming reward points for credit statement. If you want to avoid this redemption charge, then you should redeem your points before August 1.

Google Maps cuts its charges by 70%

Google Maps is going to make important changes in its rules in India from August 1. The company has cut its service charges in India by 70 percent. Also, Google Maps will now charge Indian rupees instead of dollars for its services. However, this will not make any difference to the common users, because Google Maps is not levying any extra charge on them.
