Ferrari is a biographical sports thriller film released in 2023. Ferrari 2023 Movie Budget
Ferrari is made on a budget of around US $90 million. The journey to bring Ferrari to the big screen had its share of twists and turns. It all began around 2000 when Michael Mann contemplated the project, even discussing it with Sydney Pollack. In August 2015, Christian Bale was in talks to play Enzo Ferrari, and the plan was to start filming in Italy during the summer of 2016. Paramount Pictures secured worldwide distribution rights in October 2015.
However, Bale exited the project in January 2016 due to concerns about meeting the weight requirements for the role. The film went on hold until April 2017, when Hugh Jackman negotiated to portray Ferrari, with Noomi Rapace joining as his wife, and Paramount no longer involved.
The project faced another delay until June 2020 when Mann and Jackman were still attached, STX took over international distribution, and filming was set for April 2021. In February 2022, Jackman left the film, and Adam Driver took over the role. Penélope Cruz and Shailene Woodley joined the cast, and STX secured domestic distribution rights for a theatrical release.
