As we approach the festive season of 2024, automakers are gearing up to introduce a host of new models, giving buyers plenty of exciting new options. Both mass-market and premium brands are rolling out several offerings during this festive period. Here’s a look at the upcoming car launches expected to debut this festive season:
Tata Curvv
Launch Date: September 2
Expected Price: ₹10.50 lakh
Tata is expanding its Curvv lineup with an internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered version of the SUV-coupe. While its design resembles the Curvv EV, it features unique distinctions. The Curvv ICE includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, and a panoramic sunroof. It will offer three engine options, including two turbo-petrol choices.
Tata Nexon CNG
Launch Date: To Be Confirmed
Expected Price: ₹9 lakh
Unveiled at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo, the Nexon CNG is anticipated to launch in the coming months. It will feature dual-cylinder technology and be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, potentially available with both manual and automatic transmissions. Expect a premium of around ₹1 lakh over the petrol variants.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Launch Date: To Be Confirmed
Expected Price: ₹7 lakh
Following the fourth-generation Swift launch, the new-gen Dzire sedan is expected soon. Spotted test mules indicate similar updates as the 2024 Swift, with a larger infotainment unit, features like a sunroof, wireless charging, and six airbags. It will be powered by an 82 PS 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
Launch Date: September 9
Expected Price: ₹17 lakh
The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar, now open for bookings, features exterior updates like a redesigned grille, new all-LED lighting, and fresh alloy wheels. Inside, it offers a dashboard layout similar to the 2024 Creta, seat ventilation for second-row passengers (6-seater variants only), and dual-zone automatic climate control. It will be available in four trims with existing petrol and diesel engine options.
2024 Kia Carnival
Launch Date: October 3
Expected Price: ₹40 lakh
After being discontinued in 2023, Kia’s premium MPV, the Carnival, returns in a new-gen version. Globally, it comes equipped with features like a 12.3-inch dual-screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and 3-zone climate control. Engine options include a 3.5-litre V6 petrol and a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid engine. India-specific powertrain details are yet to be revealed.

MG Windsor EV
Launch Date: September 11
Expected Price: ₹20 lakh
MG is introducing the Windsor EV, an all-electric crossover, in September. As MG India’s third EV, it’s a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV. It will feature a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a digital driver’s display, a panoramic glass roof, and wireless charging. The India-spec model’s technical specifications are yet to be disclosed.
2024 Honda Amaze
Launch Date: To Be Confirmed
Expected Price: ₹7.30 lakh
Spy shots suggest the new Honda Amaze will launch by year-end, retaining a similar exterior shape but with updated features. It will be powered by the same 90 PS 1.2-litre petrol engine and is expected to include more modern features. It will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura.
Kia EV9
Launch Date: October 3
Expected Price: ₹80 lakh
Alongside the 2024 Carnival, Kia will launch the EV9, its second premium electric offering after the EV6. The flagship EV SUV offers two battery pack options: 76.1 kWh and 99.8 kWh, with a WLTP range of up to 541 km. It will be an affordable alternative to the BMW iX1 and Mercedes-Benz EQE electric SUVs.
Mercedes-Benz EQS 680 SUV
Launch Date: September 5
Expected Price: ₹3.5 crore
Mercedes-Benz will introduce the EQS 680 SUV in India this September. While the India-spec powertrain details are yet to be revealed, globally, the EQS 680 SUV features dual electric motors producing 658 PS and up to 950 Nm, with a range of up to 600 km. It offers a luxurious interior with multiple screens, ventilated seats, and advanced driver assistance features.
2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Launch Date: To Be Confirmed
Expected Price: ₹80 lakh
The sixth-generation E-Class LWB is set to launch soon, with details about its engine options still under wraps. Expected features include a 14.4-inch infotainment system, dual 12.3-inch displays, ambient lighting, and a 21-speaker Burmester sound system.
