Vehicle drivers heading from the national capital to Sohna in Haryana will no longer face traffic jams in congested areas like Yamuna Khadar, Okhla Vihar, and Batla House. From 12th November, the Delhi section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway may be opened to the public. With this section opening, the journey from Maharani Bagh to Sohna will take only 25 minutes, compared to the current travel time of around 2.5 hours. South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri shared information about the upcoming opening of the Delhi section of the expressway.

Bidhuri mentioned that the six-lane expressway and two bridges—one over the Agra Canal and the other over the Gurgaon Canal—are ready for operation. He said, “The opening of this highway and the bridges will completely free Mathura Road from traffic jams.”

Cars to Zoom on Elevated Road

The elevated part of the corridor passes through crowded areas such as the Yamuna riverbank, Yamuna Khadar, Okhla Vihar, and Batla House. A downward ramp has been constructed near Maharani Bagh, crossing the road close to the Ashram entrance of the DND Flyway. Bidhuri stated that Rs 5,500 crore has been spent on these ambitious projects. This road can be used to travel to Faridabad, Palwal, and Sohna.
