The newly elected BJP MLAs in Delhi will meet on Wednesday to elect their legislative party leader. Following this, party leaders will meet Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to stake a claim to form the government. The oath-taking ceremony for the new government is scheduled for February 20 at Ramlila Maidan. The suspense over the next Chief Minister remains, and the final decision will be announced during the MLAs’ meeting, similar to the process followed in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

According to BJP sources, preparations for forming the new government are complete. The date, venue, and guest list for the oath ceremony have been finalized. Party General Secretaries Vinod Tawde and Tarun Chugh have been appointed observers for the legislative party meeting. BJP plans to gather around 20,000 people for the event.
After 26 Years, BJP to Form Government in Delhi
After nearly 26 years, BJP has secured power in the national capital and is planning a grand oath-taking ceremony. Similar to the Haryana government’s swearing-in, the party aims to showcase NDA’s strength in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of 21 BJP and NDA-ruled states, Union ministers, top industrialists, film stars, and sportspersons are expected to attend.

Who Will Be the Next Delhi CM?
The BJP has yet to announce its Chief Minister candidate, sparking intense political speculation. Prominent contenders include senior BJP leaders Parvesh Verma, former Delhi BJP presidents Vijender Gupta and Satish Upadhyay, along with Pawan Sharma, Ashish Sood, Rekha Gupta, and Shikha Rai.
In the recent Assembly elections, BJP secured a landslide victory, winning 48 out of 70 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) managed to win 22 seats. Now, all eyes are on BJP’s final choice for Delhi’s new Chief Minister.
