Complete Schedule of India’s Matches at the Day 1 of Paris Olympics 2024

India's team of 117 players is participating in the Paris Olympics, which includes 47 women. For the first time in Olympic history, the opening ceremony is not being held in the stadium but on the banks of the Seine River. More than 6,500 players will participate in it in 90 boats.

Paris Olympics will start from 27th July. On the first day of the competition i.e. Saturday, India will participate in a total of seven sports including badminton, boxing, and hockey. India’s first match will be in badminton at 7.30 am and the last match will be in boxing at 12 pm.   • Men’s singles group match: Lakshya Sen vs Kevin Cordon (Guatemala) (7:10 pm)
  • Men’s doubles group match: Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty vs Lucas Corvi and Ronan Labar (France) (8 pm)

Benefit of Khelo India Program

The government said that Khelo India has had a positive impact on India’s Mission Olympics. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information on Thursday in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha. He informed that a total of 124 players in the Indian contingent participating in the Asian Games held in Hangzhou came from ‘Khelo India’ and won 42 out of a total of 106 medals.

Mandaviya informed that out of the Indian contingent of 28 players in the upcoming Paris Summer Olympics 2024, 25 percent of the players are from ‘Khelo India’. He informed that from the state of Haryana, 12 ‘Khelo India’ players have qualified to participate in Paris Olympics 2024. Khelo India Scheme is a flagship Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports which was launched in 2017-18.
