Chhipkali Movie Review: A Mind-Blowing Thriller

Chhipkali Movie Review

Chhipkali is a narrative that challenges our limited view of the world, our misunderstandings about life based solely on what we see. It demonstrates our inability to see beyond conventional reality. The narrative questions our conscious thinking, our perspective of the visible world, our society, its rules, and the whole judiciary. We focus on an undiscovered dimension of time that surpasses our conscious awareness through a highly fascinating interrogation session between a detective and a suspect in a murder case.

The film reminds me of the Hollywood film, The Sunset Limited which was an excellent film focusing solely on the dialogue between two main characters. There is a similar energy in Chhipkali and the movie draws you in with its great storyline and compelling acting. It manages to create a lot of tension and sustain it till the end.

Yashpal Sharma and Yogesh Bhardwaj as the author and the private investigator respectively are at the top of their game in this brilliant film that just never goes off the hook. The chemistry between the two main leads is just a treat to watch. Both of them have brought probably the best out of their careers so far in this mystery crime thriller.

One aspect where the movie lacks is the music and background score. However, you can choose to ignore that to enjoy this ultimate thrill ride. Chhipakli is a film that you should definitely watch in the theatres if you love good mystery thrillers.
