As all of us are practicing social distancing (hopefully) the only thing offering a small distraction from our uneventful lives is the holy trio: Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar.

Upload (Amazon Prime Video)
Robbie Amell has taken part in a fair share of sci-fi shows already, on account of franchises like “The Tomorrow People” and “The Flash”. To add on to the list, his new show “Upload” is a blend of science fiction, comedy, and satire.
In the show, our protagonist meets an untimely death. However, in this alternate universe, humans have the ability to ‘upload’ themselves to their preferred choice of the afterlife.

Inferno (Amazon Prime Video)
This is not a new release by any means but it is a new addition to the inventory of movies hosted by Amazon Prime Video. So, if you have a subscription to the platform but have never watched the movie, this is a good opportunity to watch Dan Brown’s book come to life.
When Robert Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Dr. Sienna Brooks, and together they must race across Europe against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.

Thappad (Amazon Prime Video)
Another movie that Amazon Prime Video is adding to their huge list is the Bollywood film, “Thappad”. The film, starring Taapsee Pannu, was released in theatres on 28 February 2020
Thappad is a story of Amrita whose seemingly perfect life is shattered when her husband slaps her once in a party. As Amrita files for divorce after this, the movie probes the question: is one slap enough to question what a relationship stands for?

Betty (Disney+Hotstar)
This short series might be just what you need to get a good laugh in these uncertain times. It’s a teen comedy spinoff of the 2018 film “Skate Kitchen”.
If you loved that movie, here’s some good news: it includes most of the movie’s original cast. It focuses on a diverse group of young women navigating their lives through the predominantly male-oriented world of skateboarding.

Ab Aani CD (Amazon Prime Video)
A lot more is coming your way in May. “Ab Aani CD” is no less than any other releases coming up. The film starring Vikram Gokhale, Subodh Bhave, Sayali Sanjeev, and Akshay Tanksale, has a cameo by Amitabh Bachchan as himself.
The movie’s theatrical run was affected the COVID-19 pandemic which forced many theatres to close down. However, Milind Lele’s movie was released countrywide on March 13, 2020.
As a Marathi language film, the creators thought it would be a good idea to debut the Amazon Prime Video collab on Maharashtra Day and Labour Day as an ode to the frontline heroes.

“Hollywood” is a brand new Netflix drama web series that promises to provide a sneak peek into the hidden world of Hollywood’s golden age. The mini-series contains 7 episodes and all will be released at the same time so you can binge-watch seamlessly.

Released in 1982, this cult classic is bound to provide you and your family a good scare as you’re waiting for the lockdown to lift.

Netflix has renewed its dark comedy series, “Dead to Me” for a second season and you should definitely binge-watch it.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt vs. The Reverend (Netflix)
