The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has further postponed CA exams from June 19 to July 29. They’ve taken this decision due to the lockdown situation and growing concerns for coronavirus.
According to the official notice, the CA exams for CA Foundation Course, CA Intermediate, and CA Final will be conducted from July 29 to August 16, across various centers in the country.

Previously, ICAI had postponed the CA exams from May 2020 to June due to the global pandemic.
The revised schedule is as follows:
Revised dates of Foundation Course Examination (Under New Scheme):
August 7th, 9th, 11th, and 14th
Revised dates for Intermediate (IPC) Course Examination – Under Old Scheme
| Group-I | July 30th, August 2nd, 4th, and 6th |
| Group-II | August 8th, 10th and 13th |
Revised dates for Intermediate (IPC) Course Examination – Under New Scheme
| Group-I | July 30th, August 2nd, 4th, and 6th |
| Group-II | August 8th, 10th, 13th, and 16th |

The official notice states the following terms:
“Foundation Course Examination is to be held along with Final Group –II Examinations on 7th, 9th, 11th & 14th August 2020 and the Post Qualification Course Examination i.e. INTT – AT is to be held along with Final Group – II Examination on 7th & 9th August 2020, whereas ITL & WTO examination is to be held along with 4 papers, Group – I of Intermediate (IPC) / Intermediate Examinations,”
Exams such as these cannot be postponed under normal circumstance but when a pandemic of this level hits the country, even the authorities have to bend their knees.
This notice to postpone the exam might help many CA aspirants who might have been worried sick due to their clashing dates and the pandemic situation.
There might be a possibility that the situation remains disturbed for the later part of the year and not only in areas like these but in totality. All we can do is help each other out until everything turns up fine.
