Recently, major telecom operators in India, including Jio, Airtel, and Vi, have raised their mobile tariffs by an average of up to 15 percent. As a result, many mobile subscribers are switching to BSNL for its more affordable recharge plans. In response, BSNL is rapidly expanding its 4G services to attract even more subscribers. The state-owned company is also making its broadband plans more competitive to challenge Jio and Airtel, who offer broadband services across numerous towns and cities in India.
BSNL has recently enhanced the speed limits on its budget-friendly fibre broadband plans. The company has upgraded the speed for its Rs 249, Rs 299, and Rs 329 plans. Here’s what you need to know:
BSNL Affordable Fibre Broadband Plans:
BSNL’s most affordable fibre broadband plan starts at Rs 249 per month. Initially, this plan offered up to 10 Mbps speed, but it now provides up to 25 Mbps speed. Similarly, the Rs 299 and Rs 329 plans now offer 25 Mbps speed, an improvement from the previous limits of 10 Mbps and 20 Mbps, respectively.
These plans include a Fair Usage Policy (FUP). The Rs 249 plan comes with a 10GB FUP, and the Rs 299 plan includes a 20GB FUP. Once the FUP limit is reached, the speed will drop to 2 Mbps for both plans. The Rs 329 plan offers a 1000GB FUP, after which the speed will be reduced to 4 Mbps.
It’s important to note that the Rs 249 and Rs 299 plans are available only for new users. Additionally, the Rs 329 plan is available in selected circles.
