Bonhoeffer is an upcoming historical drama film about the German theologian and anti-Nazi dissident Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The film is written, produced, and directed by Todd Komarnicki.
Bonhoeffer Release Date
Principal photography for Bonhoeffer took place in Ireland at locations including Limerick, County Clare, Tipperary, and St Fin Barre’s Cathedral in Cork. Filming also occurred in Belgium, covering Brussels, Liege, and Spa. According to Variety, filming wrapped before March 2023. In November 2023, Angel Studios acquired worldwide rights to the film, which was retitled from God’s Spy to Bonhoeffer, and scheduled it for a theatrical release in 2024. The film is set to be released in the United States on November 22, 2024.
