BMW Motorrad is known for its impressive lineup of adventure motorcycles, including models like the R 1300 GS and F 850 GS. To expand its offerings and make adventure biking more accessible, the brand is preparing to introduce the F 450 GS. Positioned above the G 310 GS, this upcoming motorcycle was recently displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. While BMW has yet to confirm an official launch date, it has provided an estimated timeline for eager enthusiasts.
In a social media update, BMW Motorrad revealed that the production version of the F 450 GS will be unveiled by the end of the year. The brand’s Instagram post hinted at this, stating, “Dreams are coming true soon—prepare for the #ConceptF450GS at the end of the year.”
The BMW F 450 GS will be produced at TVS Motor’s Hosur facility in India. Given that the G 310 GS starts at ₹3.30 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model is expected to be priced between ₹4 lakh and ₹5 lakh. Once launched, it will compete with adventure bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure and the more budget-friendly Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

The F 450 GS maintains the signature GS styling, featuring a high-mounted front beak, a distinctive headlight, a large windscreen, and gold-finished USD forks. Other design highlights include a sculpted fuel tank, knuckle guards, an under-seat exhaust, wire-spoke wheels, and off-road-ready knobby tires.
On the technical front, the motorcycle comes with a fully adjustable USD fork and a monoshock with load-dependent damping. Weighing 175 kg, it is expected to be available with either a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel combination or tubeless wire-spoke wheels. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both ends.
At its heart, the BMW F 450 GS is powered by a newly developed 450cc twin-cylinder engine delivering 48 hp, designed to offer strong mid-range performance. With these features, the bike is set to make a significant impact in the mid-size adventure motorcycle segment.
