Bharti Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom provider, has launched three new prepaid data plans to enhance options for its users. These data-only plans are priced at ₹161, ₹181, and ₹351, offering additional data without impacting regular service validity. This initiative is part of Airtel’s strategy to keep customers satisfied and maintain its competitive edge in the telecom market.
Overview of Airtel’s New Data Plans:
- ₹161 Plan: Offers 12 GB of data for 30 days with no daily usage limits, costing approximately ₹13 per GB. This plan is designed for moderate data users who prefer flexibility.
- ₹181 Plan: Provides 15 GB of data for 30 days without any daily cap, priced at around ₹12 per GB. It also includes access to Airtel Xstream Play, which offers over 22 OTT benefits for entertainment.
- ₹351 Plan: Delivers 50 GB of data for 30 days with no daily usage limit, making it cost-effective at about ₹7 per GB, ideal for heavy data users.
Revised Existing Plans:
- The ₹77 Plan now offers 5 GB of data for 7 days.
- The ₹121 Plan provides 6 GB of data for 30 days.
- For short-term needs, the ₹26 Plan offers 1.5 GB of data for 1 day.
These new Airtel plans function as data-only vouchers, meaning users will need an active base prepaid plan to utilize the data.

In the meantime, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has also made adjustments to its plans. The ₹479 prepaid plan, which previously offered 56 days of validity, now lasts for 48 days and includes 1 GB of data per day, 100 daily SMS, and unlimited voice calls. The ₹666 prepaid plan, featuring Vi Hero benefits, has seen its validity reduced from 77 days to 64 days.
