What Effect Does Summer Have on Your Skin? what are the remedies to your skincare routine?

As the weather warms and humidity rises, your skin’s oil glands begin to produce excessive sebum (natural oil). The oil released becomes stuck on the top layer of skin, causing stickiness, greasy, and plugged pores.

Acne outbreaks are the most prevalent summertime concern. People with oily skin are more vulnerable to it because germs and oils in their skin interact with sweat, resulting in breakouts and acne.

Melanin production ramps up when your body is exposed to damaging UV rays in needed to shield your damaged skin. Melanin is a photoprotective pigment. Its overabundance leads in darker, browned skin. Other issues may include itchy skin, prickly heat, sunburn, and rash as a result of UV sensitivity.

Here is the list of 5 amazing remedies to your skincare routine this summer

1.Stay hydrated

No better way to stay hydrated than by keeping a water bottle on you!.  Staying hydrated is the key to summer beauty (and beauty in general), so a less-than-ideal water bottle just won’t cut it. Find a water bottle that works for you, and don’t get caught without it!

2.Cucumber and sugar mask

Cucumber is packed to the brim with Vitamin C and caffeic acid—both of which have umpteen skin benefits. Cucumber is great for the skin as it has hydrating and nourishing properties that help soothe skin inflammation, balance oil production and reduce puffiness.

How to do it:

  1. Mash together cucumbers and some sugar and refrigerate.
  2. Apply it onto your face and let it dry.
  3.  Wash off in 15 minutes for the hydrated and glowing skin.

3. Smell amazing… naturally!

It’s summer, you’re at your best! Your skin is dewy, your hair is sun-kissed, and you are WEARING that summer dress. Except, oh wait, you smell terrible. Or you smell okay, but it’s because you’re using unnatural, unhealthy deodorant.

Our tip: eat fenugreek(Methi seeds)! This plant has the amazing ability to make your sweat smell like syrup. It sounds crazy, but it’s true. A popular way to reap these benefits is by eating the sprouted seeds.

How to do it:

  1. To sprout, soak seeds in water overnight, or for about eight hours.
  2. Drain out the water, then rinse and drain seeds once or twice a day, for three days.
  3. Sprouts can be thrown in a salad, added to a sandwich, or even eaten alone.

You will soon notice that your sweat is sweeter! Also, it helps in the weight loss process (added advantage)

4.Strawberry mask

Love Strawberries? We all do, isn’t it? Well, here is a reason to love them even more! Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C which makes them an excellent ingredient to fight oily skin. Strawberries are also acidic in nature which helps them fight acne and blemishes. They are also known to nourish and revitalize skin by removing the excess sebum.

How to do it:

    1. Mash strawberries in a bowl and add to the blend a tablespoon of yoghurt
    2. Add a few drops of lemon juice and honey.
    3.  Apply on your face for 10 to 15 minutes and let it dry. Rinse off with water.

5.Aloe Vera And Rose Water

Age spots, pimple marks, pigmentation marks, burns or injury marks can be treated using aloe vera face pack. Rose water is an astringent that soothes and tones the skin. It enhances the cell regeneration process and also improves capillary circulation

How to do it:

    1. Just make a paste of the aloe vera extract and rose water.
    2. Apply it on the face. Keep it on for 20 minutes.
    3. Rinse it off using cold water.

Alternatively, you can massage the face pack for 2-3 mins onto the face before rinsing it off to cleanse your pores.

Guys, you don’t get results in a single use of these remedies, have a little patience, maintain some consistency and let these natural ingredients prepare you for this cruel summer heat and don’t forget to eat a healthy balanced diet and stay hydrated (very important!)
