Gurudev Hoysala Review

Gurudev Hoysala is an interesting movie that keeps you wondering. The film has enough suspence that can keep the viewers hooked and waiting for answers. However, this wait for answers becomes a tedious one as the movie takes a tone which becomes dull at times.

Dhananjay is fantastic as the upright cop Gurudev. He has nailed his role with perfection in his 25th feature film. Gurudev Hoysala revolves around the character portrayed by Dhananjay and he is definitely the star of the film. His acting is top notch but the script lets him down at several points.

If the director Vijay had adopted a more crisp narrative then this film could have been a mind-blowing suspense thriller. The background score is also not up to the mark and as viewers you won’t feel the excitement that you deserve to feel with a story that Gurudev Hoysalas has.

Cast members are sincere with their roles and there is not much to complaint about that aspect of the film. The direction is the only thing that discourages us from recommending this movie to everyone. Even then, the film is surely a one-time watch but the choice is yours whether you want to watch the film in the theatres or wait for it to drop on a streaming platform. I’ll prefer the latter option.
