Jugjugg Jeeyo Review: Neetu Kapoor is excellent and you cannot find a flaw in her portrayal. Prajakta Koli has also delivered an applauding performance in her debut film.

They are in an unhappy marriage, and divorce is on the cards until the duo gets an invitation to Ginny’s (Prajakata Koli) wedding. Ginny is the sister of Kukoo. The couple decides to put off their issues for a while to attend Ginny’s wedding. Back in Punjab, we are introduced to Bheem (Anil Kapoor) and Geeta (Neetu Singh), the parents of Kukoo. Surprisingly they too are involved in an unhealthy marriage, and a divorce may be on the cards for them as well.

Jugjugg Jeeyo Detailed Review:

Director Raj Mehta who brought us Good Newwz, does not shy away from using cliche Punjabi jokes and humour in this endearing film. The humour just naturally seems to flow, making this movie a complete family entertainer.

Anil Kapoor has effortlessly delivered a performance that reminds us of his peak in Bollywood. The actor brings a breath of fresh air to dialogues with his unique charm and personality. The veteran actor has stolen the spotlight from other leading characters. His character has his own flaws, but the way it has been written and performed makes it seem like this may be a role without any defects at all.

Secondly, Kiara Advani is brilliant in this film as an ambitious lady who wants to grow but somewhere inside her heart can still give up all to be with her family. She looks a lot better than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in this flick and shines perfectly in her role. Varun Dhawan also has his moments in the film and keeps the flow going. Neetu Singh is brilliant in her role and does not leave much to be desired.

Don’t think we need to say anything about Maniesh Paul as he is in a class of his own when it comes to comedy. You will definitely giggle out whenever he makes an appearance in this film.

We have to applaud Prajakta Koli as well for being confident and flawless in her debut feature film. It’s her wedding in the film that brings everyone together and ultimately helps her family members understand the values of relationships. Prajakta has displayed that she can act and do it with pure grace. Her naturality comes out perfectly in the portrayal of Ginny. The YouTuber turned actor is all set to pursue the greater things.

The film does not get preachy and keeps the enthusiasm high from the get-go. There is not a dull moment in this film, making it a complete ‘paisa vasool.’ The relationship dynamics and the issue of divorce have been dealt with carefully, and Director Raj Mehta has ensured that the issue does not overpower the comedy and tone of the film.

Overall, a complete package that does deserve a watch in the theatres.
