Looking to Start a Business? Get a Loan of Up to Rs 2 Crore with This Scheme

To promote local industries, crafts, and businesses, the central and Uttar Pradesh governments have introduced several schemes. One notable initiative is the ‘One District, One Product’ (ODOP) scheme, which helps individuals start or grow their businesses by focusing on products unique to each district.

Under the ODOP scheme, launched by the Uttar Pradesh government, loans of up to Rs 2 crore are available. This scheme also offers subsidies to encourage people to establish or expand their small businesses.

The ODOP programme is a major initiative by the Uttar Pradesh government, offering significant loans and subsidies. Anyone interested can use this loan to kickstart their own business.

Loan of Up to Rs 2 Crore

Deputy Commissioner of Industries and ODOP Officer Mathura Ramendra Kumar shared with Local18 that this scheme can be highly beneficial for those looking to start their own business. “Under this scheme, loans of up to Rs 2 crore are available, allowing people to launch their business,” he said.

He added that district-specific products are included in the scheme to promote local businesses.

Subsidy of Rs 20 Lakh

Kumar also mentioned that the scheme offers a subsidy of Rs 20 lakh as part of the Rs 2 crore loan.

To apply, he explained: “First, you must register on the ODOP portal. After registering, submit a hard copy to the relevant office.”

Applicants are required to provide their Aadhaar card, PAN details, and project report as key documents. The loan is processed after the application is verified and a survey is completed.
