Ola Electric Roadster Series Features
The Roadster Pro is Ola’s top-end model, boasting a claimed top speed of 194 kilometers per hour (kmph) and a range of up to 579km on a single charge with the 16kWh battery pack. This model is powered by Ola’s proprietary 4680 Bharat Cell, which reportedly offers five times more energy, charges one and a half times faster, and delivers 10% longer range compared to traditional 2170 lithium-ion cells used in other EVs, including Ola’s S1 electric scooters.
The Roadster Pro is equipped with a liquid-cooled motor producing 52kW of peak power and 102nm of torque, achieving 0-40kmph in just 1.2 seconds. It includes a 2.2kW charger and features such as adaptive cruise control, a 10-inch touchscreen display, 5G connectivity, dual-disc brakes, heated and cooling seats, and the Krutrim AI chatbot. It also has a dedicated race mode for enhanced performance.
For safety, the Roadster Pro includes advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), cornering ABS, traction control, and three BS modes: Race, Rain, and Urban. Additionally, it features wheelie and stoppie prevention, a tamper alert, and emergency SOS alerts.
The entry-level Roadster X features LED headlamps, a 4.3-inch TFT display, front disc brakes, and turn-by-turn navigation. It also includes features from the Ola S1 Pro, such as cruise control and reverse mode. It has a claimed range of up to 200km and a top speed of 124kmph, with safety features like geo-fencing, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), tamper and fall-detection alerts, and time-fencing.
The Roadster X offers three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, with a 0-40kmph time of 4 seconds.
The mid-range Roadster builds on the Roadster X with additional features like a larger 6.8-inch TFT display, double-spoke alloy wheels, Krutrim voice assistant, smart park, group navigation, and a DIY mode. It comes with an IP67-rated battery, offering a maximum range of 248km and a top speed of 126kmph, powered by a 13kW electric motor. Like the Roadster Pro, it also features dual disc brakes and adds a Hyper mode, bringing the total number of drive modes to four.
