Final Destination: Bloodlines Release Date

Final Destination: Bloodlines, directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein and written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, is set to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in 2025. Initially planned after the success of Final Destination 5 in 2011, the sixth installment began development in January 2019 with a script by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, described as a re-imagining.

The film will feature first responders like EMTs, firefighters, and police officers. Despite pandemic delays, series creator Jeffrey Reddick confirmed ongoing plans for the film. In 2021, Taylor was named the new writer, with HBO Max set to distribute and Jon Watts joining as producer. By September 2022, Lipovsky and Stein secured their directing roles after a creative pitch involving a staged freak accident, aligning with the franchise’s signature style.

Final Destination: Bloodlines Plot

The film will take place in the world of first responders, featuring EMTs, firefighters, and police officers. When asked if it would follow the same canon as the previous installments, the producer noted that “reboot is probably too strong of a word … it makes it sound like they’re going to change everything, but it’s definitely a Final Destination movie.”
