Amaran, is an upcoming Tamil-language action war film penned and helmed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the movie features Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, with Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, Gaurav Venkatesh, and Shreekumar in supporting roles.
Amaran 2024 Release Date
Amaran 2024 will be released in the theatres in April 2024. The film will simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages. The OTT rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix and it will release on this digital streaming platform after about two months of theatrical run.
Amaran 2024 Budget
Amaran is made on a massive budget of Rs 150 Crore. It is a high budget pan Indian Tamil film. Announced in January 2022 with the working title #SK21, marking Sivakarthikeyan’s 21st lead role, the film was officially titled Amaran in February 2024. Principal photography began in May 2023 and is nearing completion, shot intermittently across various locations like Kashmir, Chennai, Pondicherry, and Pudicherry. G. V. Prakash Kumar provides the music, CH Sai is the cinematographer, and R. Kalaivanan handles the editing.
