Jolly news for JEE Main aspirants. JEE Main 2021 will be held in four sessions. The registration of the exam will begin on 15 December 2020 and the last day of registration is 15 January 2021. JEE Main exam will be conducted in multiple sessions – February, March, April, and May 2021. All the aspiring candidates can register for the exam at the National Testing Agency (NTA) website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.
It is said by the National Testing Agency that the first session of JEE Main 2021 will take place from 22 February 2021 to 25 February 2021. The exam is going to be conducted in 13 languages and the candidates have been given the freedom to pick any of their preferable language at the time of registration. But along with this, the agency did mention that once the language has been selected then it cannot be changed after the submission of the registration form.
After this huge announcement of conducting the exam in four sessions has made everyone curious that what is the reason behind these multiple sessions. And, the agency explained that this is being done to ensure that JEE Main 2021 does not interfere with different Board examinations like States/Union Territories.
In order to rationalize the decision of the reduction of the syllabus by different Boards across the nation, the test will now include choice in section but there will be no change in the number of questions (Physics – 25. Chemistry – 25, Mathematics – 25). After focusing more on the rationalization of the syllabus by various boards, the NTA said that there will be two sections in each paper and have also decided to provide for choice in the question papers.
Like this, there will be no wastage of a whole academic year anymore as the students are being offered multiple opportunities to improve their scores in the examination if somehow, they are not able to give their best in the first attempt. This will give exposure and experience of the JEE Main exam to all the aspiring students which will help them to know their mistakes and how to prepare themselves for the next attempt.
This will reduce the chances of dropping and wasting a whole year for the next attempt. If anyone has missed his/her examination due to some reasons which were not under their control then now, they do not have to wait for one full year.
