Here is the list of 5 new cars waiting to vroom their way on the roads of India in 2021:
- Volkswagen Taigun
An extension in the family of Skoda’s SUV. Volkswagen Taigun is all set to launch in the second quarter of 2021. With mostly the same features and engine specifications just like Skoda’s SUV, Volkswagen Taigun Will have 108bhp, 1.0L turbo-petrol, and a 147bhp, 1.5L turbo-petrol engine options. It is a mid-sized SUV with the MQB AO IN platform that underpins the Skoda Vision IN-based SUV.
- New Mahindra Scorpio
Mahindra is all set to launch its next-generation scorpion. It will be bigger in size than the former Scorpio. Thus, providing a front-facing third row of seats. This model is made on the basis of the new ladder-frame chassis, which underpins the new Thar. The New Mahindra Scorpio SUV will have 2.2L turbocharged diesel and 2.0L turbocharged petrol engines which will offer around 158bhp and 150bhp respectively. Also, the Transmission choices in the SUV will include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. It is waiting to be launched in the second quarter of 2021.
- New Maruti Celerio
Maruti Suzuki will be launching in the first half of 2021, it’s the second generation Celerio hatchback. This model will be made on the basis of Suzuki’s lightweight HEARTECT platform. The new Maruti celerio will be packed with exciting new features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also have a reverse camera, a multi-functional steering wheel, and others. The new Maruti celerio will come with a 4-cylinder k12 petrol with 1.2l and 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10 petrol options. - Skoda Vision IN
This year Skoda will enter into the spectrum of mid-sized SUVs in India with its new SUV based on the Vision IN. It will be made on a model of heavily localized MQB AO IN. This model will come as a rival of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and the Nissan kicks. It will come with 2 engine options – a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol with 6MT and 6AT, and a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
- TATA HBX Micro UV
TATA Motors is all set to launch the brand’s second model based on the ALFA modular platform in the second quarter of 2021. It will come in the market against the Mahindra KUV100 NXT and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
According to reports, It will come with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 85bhp and 113Nm of torque. With transmission choices which will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit.
